Cozy Corners: bedroom edition

Hello!  I hope all you gorgeous souls had a beautiful weekend!

Today I thought I would do a cozy corners post, since it has been forever since I did one.  I thought I would share our bedroom with you.  It is one of my favorite rooms in our house, and it is truly a place where I find solace and quiet.    We moved into our house about 10 years ago, and when we were first picking out colors for the walls I was obsessed with painting our bedroom walls red.  Like dark, blood red.  So that is what we did, and I did really loved it.  Fast forward to about 8 years later, and the red just felt to heavy and dark to me.  I needed something lighter and airer.  We decided on a light green, and let me tell you the difference has been amazing.  The room feels bigger (it is definitely not big), more relaxing, and serene.  Honestly, if I could change the wall colors in our house every couple months I would totally do it.  Even though the word paint makes my husband cringe.  Here are some peeks inside our cozy space:

I really love each piece that is in our room.  Over the years we have collected a lot of art that we love, and some of our favorite pieces are in our room.

This little shelf above I have for my  sacred space.  It holds all the little treasures that hold special meaning and energy.  My little crystal grid changes with each new and full moon.

These are some of my favorite pieces that adorn our walls.  You can never have enough beautiful art that speaks to you, at least in my opinion.  I truly feel that when you walk into someones home it should be a reflection of their soul.  Even though a house is just a building, the man I share this space with, the laughter, and the memories are what really make this our home.

  5. Oh wow. <3 I'd love a bedroom like this. I love the colors, and your sacred shelf. Ahhhh! Right now, we live with Jen's parents and we don't see that changing in a long time... So her childhood bedroom is our home. We live, play, sleep, eat and craft in this one room, so we don't even have a bed or anything. We can't wait for that to change! :)

    1. Thank you Angie! I know what you mean. When we were first together, we lived at my moms house for a spell. It definitely has its challenges, but know a change will come! xoxo
