Today, is a day I won't forget. Today, love is slowly starting to win. Today, tears streamed down my face, and made me hopeful for the world. I know we have a long way to go, but for today hope is triumphing.
Hello! I am sorry about the delay in picking a winner. We had such a busy weekend, I never got a chance. Last night, under the super moon we put all your names into a hat. To make it fair, my husband pulled a name, and the winner is....
Hello! The summer solstice is almost here. I love this time of year, and the long beautiful days that summer brings. We will be celebrating by spending the day near the ocean, and ending the day with a big bonfire. We also plan on spending some time under lady luna, it is supposed to be an amazing full moon this weekend. How do you celebrate the solstice?
In honor of this special day, I am hosting a little giveaway here. This giveaway is for a beautiful little crescent moon necklace, a hand harvested white sage stick from our families property here in San Diego, a piece of rose quartz hand picked from a local shop, and a little wisdom card from Silvertreeart.
You have three chances to enter. 1. leave a blog comment. 2. Follow this blog on Bloglovin. 3. Post about this giveaway on FB. Just leave a separate comment for each entry, and I will randomly pick a winner on the evening of the solstice. Good luck!!

A while back I was lucky enough to sign up for Ashley's from Yellow Porch Light craft-it-forward. Yesterday I received the most beautiful necklace in the mail from her.
I mean really?! Look at how pretty that is. Now that I have received this pretty, it is my turn to give. The first five people who comment on this post will receive a handmade gift in the mail from me in the near future. All you have to do to participate is post a craft-it-forward to your blog or Facebook after you receive my gift, and pass on the magic of your own making to five more people. Please leave your email address in your comment, so I can get in touch with you.
Hello! I hope all you gorgeous souls had a beautiful weekend!
Today I thought I would do a cozy corners post, since it has been forever since I did one. I thought I would share our bedroom with you. It is one of my favorite rooms in our house, and it is truly a place where I find solace and quiet. We moved into our house about 10 years ago, and when we were first picking out colors for the walls I was obsessed with painting our bedroom walls red. Like dark, blood red. So that is what we did, and I did really loved it. Fast forward to about 8 years later, and the red just felt to heavy and dark to me. I needed something lighter and airer. We decided on a light green, and let me tell you the difference has been amazing. The room feels bigger (it is definitely not big), more relaxing, and serene. Honestly, if I could change the wall colors in our house every couple months I would totally do it. Even though the word paint makes my husband cringe. Here are some peeks inside our cozy space:
I really love each piece that is in our room. Over the years we have collected a lot of art that we love, and some of our favorite pieces are in our room.
This little shelf above I have for my sacred space. It holds all the little treasures that hold special meaning and energy. My little crystal grid changes with each new and full moon.
These are some of my favorite pieces that adorn our walls. You can never have enough beautiful art that speaks to you, at least in my opinion. I truly feel that when you walk into someones home it should be a reflection of their soul. Even though a house is just a building, the man I share this space with, the laughter, and the memories are what really make this our home.

Hello to you! I hope you all had a gorgeous weekend, ours was busy but definitely a good one. The weather here has been so nice, I am trying to appreciate every minute of it before the oppressive Summer heat sets in.
About a month ago I made the decision that I was going to go gluten free. It seems like everyone is going gluten free these days, I am seeing more and more gluten free products everywhere. From food to body care, it seems to be all around. To be honest at first I really did think it was a trend, but the more I have researched and read about it, the more I understand why so many people have jumped on board with it. I have read so many stories and talked to people that have said that since they went gluten free their overall health has improved dramatically in all areas. The reason I was so intrigued by a GF diet was that most people who go GF usually have their eczema disappear, and it is really good for boosting fertility. Thank goodness my husband is so supportive in this too.
So, I talked to my doctor at my last appointment and had the celiac test done just in case, and it came back negative. But my doctor was supportive and gave me some tips on going gluten free. She suggested starting slowly over a period of a couple weeks and take my time in eliminating gluten products from our diet. I started about three weeks ago and started switching out our usual meals from gluten free versions, and early next week we are officially going to be 100% gluten free. I decided that the best place to start would be after my moontime, because lets face it, at least for me I am not in the best frame of mind when it comes to that time of the month. I have decided to try it for 30 days and see how we feel after those 30 days. The one thing I can say about the last couple of weeks is that my energy definitely seems higher, and my skin is much clearer than it was. My hope with this new change in diet is that my energy will continue to grow, my eczema will disappear and we will overall feel better.
Here are some great sites I have found with some good info and wonderful recipes.
I know my biggest challenge is going to be giving up homemade pizza, it is my favorite. I would love to hear from you about going GF. Recipes, favorite products, advice, positive or negative results?
**Also thank you to my friend Dawn for encouraging me in this, and making me feel less alone in this new journey**
